Our curriculum

Our learning experience is like no other. You will spend a significant proportion of your timetable in our workshops working on industry-related live briefs that will give you the hands-on experience you need to take the next step in your engineering career.

Sixth Form courses

We offer a core Engineering Level 3 (Extended Diploma), as well as A-Level Maths and Extended Project qualifications. Completing all of these courses will give you the equivalent of 4.5 A-Levels.

Engineering isn't just about construction and manufacturing, it's about the application of science to solve practical problems.

Engineers are highly in demand in the UK - there is a shortage of applicants for good engineering degrees and companies are struggling to find high calibre candidates with the skills and experience to fill their positions.

A career in engineering can lead you into a wide range of jobs and roles. It might be electrical, electronic or software engineering – just think how these have revolutionised the way we live. Or it could be a career in communications systems, power generation, renewable energies or robotics and artificial intelligence.

A world without mechanical or structural engineers – no cars, roads, trains, planes, shopping centres or concert halls – is unimaginable. Engineering covers most aspects of our lives, which means there are many different job opportunities and career prospects. You will have the opportunity to experience the latest real-world practices with experience with our employer partners.

Our courses are designed to support progression to the workplace, apprenticeships or further/higher education and have been designed in conjunction with our employer and university partners. We focus on creating Britain's future engineering experts by offering courses in specialist subjects.
